t hese expansion packs are for Online Use only. They are not official expansion packs, and are in no way endorsed by Avalon Hill (don't ask them for stickers, they don't have any). At this time you can include the Alchemists in your online armies to used with SLI. For the Alchemist Expansion to work you will need to download version 2.1 of SLI. Future Online Expansions (we hope to have many) will be added to SLI through a self extracting zip file that will need to be unzipped into the pieces directory in the sli folder.

FAQ:

What can Lighting Rod do?
Lightning Rod, in essence, can give Dispel Magic to any (good or evil) adjacent piece, but cannot give it to itself. The piece affect by Lightning Rod loses its Dispel Magic ability when it is no long adjacent to Lightning rod. So, Lightning Rod's effect doesn't last until the end of the turn, but can be used as many times (as long as the piece is adjacent). Lightning Rod can also negate magic cast on an adjacent piece (i.e. to negate the magic of Ground Lightning or Lightning Bolt cast on one of your pieces).

Can Great Beast be used to kill a castle or magic piece?
NO. Castles and Magic pieces do not have base strenghts, therefore they are excluded.
